http://piktochart.com/  = for making an infographic

Help! I am just starting...what do I do??

FIRST Select a theme/topic to study for the rest of the year - choose something that is interesting to you or that you want to learn more about (see theme options below)

SECOND = Make sure you are familiar with the political, economic and social events of the historical era you are looking up
-example = If I am on the 1920's and I remember a lot - great!  But I could use the "Decades Cheat Sheet" (there are four for each decade) in the folder (select the link above)

THIRD =  Look up info about your theme for each time period.
-Here is a hint for searching:  Google search: "_____(your topic)___ AND America AND ___(era)___"
-example = "Technology and America and 1920's"
-MAKE SURE IT IS A RELIABLE SOURCE - if not (or if you are not sure) don't use it!!!

FOURTH = Start filling in the chart - you can do this by hand or electronically
-find information (do NOT cut and paste this info - re-write it INTO YOUR OWN WORDS)
-find visuals you may want to use later - these you can cut and paste these
-cut and paste the sources (websites) into the chart for both the info & pictures
**If you want to download the chart, go to the link for the folder (above) and open a copy of the document.  Then select "FILE" and "MAKE A COPY" and a copy should be made in your google drive that you can type into.**

FIFTH = Take all of your information and SHOW/PRESENT it in a way that can help other's to learn about your findings and connections
