This is our unit plan.  Under the unit plan is a brief outline of what we do in class each day.

Learning Targets for the Unit: I CAN…explain the causes of the Great Depression. and connect those causes to those of the Great Recession of the early 2000's. I CAN...identify major events in American history & culture during the 1930's. I CAN...differentiate between liberal and conservative thinking (and connect this thinking to Hoover & FDR). I CAN...explain the New Deal goals. I CAN...identify proponents and opponents to the New Deal and conclude why. I CAN...explain short and long term impacts of the New Deal. I CAN...evaluate the success of the New Deal. I CAN...formulate an argument and support it with quality evidence. Essential Question(s) for the Unit: What causes an economic disaster? What should be the role of the government in influencing the economy? How involved should the government be in our economy?
